I converted this radio shack road phantom 4wd dual motor to a full hobby car and now it runs on 11.1v lipo. Stock it ran about 15mph on 7.2v but just off the conversion and 11.1v lipo it ran an easy 25mph+ and accelerated waaaay quicker. Now with 550 titan 12t motors it easily goes 40mph+++. Also went from 10 tooth pinions to 13 tooth and it definitely helps top speed.

It is fast enough that running laps on the slick baseball diamond it will out run a handful of my hobby cars including my traxxas Vxl stampede, 1/10 summit, hpi super nitro rally, and a 2wd slash. All cars running 11.1v lipo and brushless except the 775 summit

Video: I was putting around for the first few mins and had a few full throttle passes towards the end. i can get pretty close to full throttle off the line but dont want to be too hard on the gears

Getting gears is easy, you just buy any of the cars that are on the same chassis broken or missing the remote off ebay and have extra gears and a ton of extra parts. Most of the the time you can score em for $30 shipped so its pretty cheap. a few on the same chassis/gear setup include, The radio shack tempest, F150 And Desert viper
