Well for my first post I have a complaint (not the most auspicous start)
I was attempting to install NetWare 6.5 for a client on an HP DL380 G6. As usual the system comes with HPs SmartStart CD which usually has all the drivers for the O/Ss supported by the hardware. Well, NetWare, though supported, was not included on the CD. Grrrr.
Now I know NetWare is going the way of the Dinosaurs, and Linux/OES2 is the way of the furture for Novell customers, but if HP supports the OS, they should include the support files on the SmartStart. End of small rant.
So in a effort to help others, here are the steps (hopefully complete) to get the required files for the install. I have been reminded the the most simple way of doing this is to copy the install media to an existing NetWare server, add the required drivers and do the installation across the wire. However, if this is not an option here is another way:

Install new storage and LAN drivers on HP DL380 G6 during NetWare Install

When you install NetWare 6.5 on an HP DL380 G6, the SmartStart CD no longer supports NetWare installation. As well, the Installation media (in my case, NW6.5 SP7) did not contain the correct drivers for the HBA or the NIC. The following process was created fom Novell TIDs and HP services bulletins, none of which did a great job of explaining the installation process.
You require an existing NetWare server to perform the extractions from the HP supplied NLMs. This server must have NoRM working so you can copy the files from the C: partition. I used a virtual server to do the extractions.
