Problem Symptom: In a Windows 2012 CSV environment Hyper-V CSV disks gets into Redirected Access Mode , when CA ARCserve BAOF (Backup Agent for Open Files) is installed.
Problem Details: Installing CA ARCserve BAOF on a hyper-V server which contains CSV (Clusters Shared Volume) puts the CSV disks/volumes into Redirected Access mode.
Problem Resolution: CA ARCserve Backup provides two solutions for dealing with open files:
- Agent for Open Files
- Support for VSS
If you encounter the problem listed above, it is recommended:
- Uninstall CA ARCserve BAOF (Backup Agent for Open Files) from the machines that holds the CSV disks.
- Utilize CA ARCserve Backup built in support for VSS.
